Grammar Starter: Similes and Metaphors
Look over your character description from yesterday. You may spot a few errors or things you would like to improve straight away - it is amazing the difference 24 hours can make! Try to find 3-5 improvements you can make straight away - spellings, punctuation, improved vocabulary or sentence structures.
This week in Grammar we have covered:
Year 4: expanded noun phrases, adverbs and adverbial phrases, similes and metaphors
Year 5: fronted adverbials, relative clauses, similes and metaphors
Today I would like you to write up a best version of your character description that includes all of the grammar features your year group has covered this week, as well as having correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
