Year 4: Exploring poetry
Year 5: Analysing and Performing Poems
Read up to page 45 in the Tempest. On this page, the Fairies sing a poem to celebrate Miranda and Ferdinand's wedding.
Choose one of the following activities:
Option 1: write your own poem to celebrate a happy family occasion (birthday, graduation, new baby engagement).
Option 2: write a 'villainous' version of the fairy poem - it could be about 2 characters that hate each other (Prospero and Caliban for example).
In your poem, you should use the same rhyme scheme as the fairy poem (ABAB).
Use one of the forms of poetry from your activity to write a poem about The Tempest.
