Please ensure that a PE kit is brought into school on a Monday and taken home on a Friday. All items of PE kit (and school uniform) should be labelled with the child's name and class.We will ensure that they are sent home at the end of each week.

Autumn term overview 2019
ICE Life Expedition
Year 5/6 pupils visited Belmont Chapel to participate in an exhibition all about the life of Jesus. Much of this was through the use of Ipads with the children exploring a range of stories with quiz style questions, encouraging us to think deeper about the life of Jesus and events in the Bible.
Islam and Eid
In Cobden class this term we have been learning about the principles of Islam. Over the last few weeks we have focussed on the celebration of Eid and why it is important to Muslims. We have learnt about how during Eid lots of events happen in the community including families sharing food together. To complete our learning on Islam, we made two traditional recipes and shared them together.
Cobden Class Project Sharing Morning
On Friday 13th December Cobden Class spent the morning sharing our North and South America home learning projects. We had a great variety of projects including posters, signs and a large selection of baked treats! The children enjoyed learning about different countries and sharing the baked goods!
Exeter Mosque and Underground Passages
On Thursday 21st November Years 2-6 visited the Exeter Mosque and the Exeter Underground Passages. The children has a fantastic day and asked the Imam lots of insightful questions about the Mosque. In the Underground Passages, they learnt about the history of Exeter and how many of the passages are over 500 years old!
WW2 Rationing
Alongside our text Machine Gunner, in Cobden Class we have been learning about WW2. Last week, we used wartime recipe to make Carrot Cakes. We learnt how sugar was rationed and how people used carrots to sweeten their cakes as they could grow them easily.
September 2019
Eden Project Biomes
As a part of our Geography focus this term, we have been learning about the different climate biomes of the world. We have also learnt about how the Eden project has manmade biomes where they mimic the climates of the Rainforest and Mediterranean. In class, we have designed and created our own Eden Biome Models based on this.
