Reading Children to read 10 minutes every day.
Look through a book. Can you find any words with more than seven letters?
What is the longest word you can find? Children are recommended to hear at least three stories a day at this age.

Can you cook something with an adult in your home? Send us pictures of your creations.
Can you find items that rhyme? Eg egg and peg, can and pan.
Be a phonics detective! How many high frequency words can you find in your reading book? Can you write them down and read them to an adult?
How many ways can you make 5? Look for groups of things inside or outdoors. Send us a photograph or can you draw them?
Can you make a repeating pattern? Eg red, red, yellow, pasta, pasta, apple
