Henry told Mrs S-S he had made some 3D shapes during his home learning. She challenged him to make a dodecahedron - here is his video.

Look at Woody and Wilf's fantastic poem. Thanks for sharing boys - great work!

As part of VE Day, the children were asked to design their own medal. They then had to give a description of who would recieve the medal and why. Here's Noah's fantastic medal and his reasons why. Brilliant Noah!

Here is Tom's medal - he decided he would give it to his Dad for helping him with his home learning. What a great idea Tom!

In Art this week, the children were tasked with producing a Jane Perkins inspired picture. Jane uses recycled materials and natural resources to make her pictures. I think the children have done an amazing job at recreating their own. Well done Team Southbrook!

Year 4 have been learning about the kidneys this week.

Will has completed some great work and I really like the way he has produced his written work in the shape of a kidney. Mrs S-S.

As part of National Nurses Day last week, the children were asked to research Florence Nightingale. Henry and Will produced an amazing presentation about her - well done Henry and Will, they are brilliant!

This week the children were asked to research and create a famous scientist on a hard bolied egg. I think their creations are egg-cellent!

Year 2 were asked to write a recount of an event in their lives. Max has done this brilliantly - he's really thought about his punctuation and used time connectives effectively. Well done Max!

This week, we have been looking at Roman mosiacs. The children were then asked to create their own - here's some of their brilliant creations!

In French this week, the children were asked to design a piece of clothing and name it in French. We had some very creative ways!

Year 4 Science

Year 4 are investigating the damage that can be done to our teeth. They have set up an experiment using egg shells to represent teeth. William has submerged egg shells in various liquids.  He measured 200ml of each liquid and has labelled each cup.  He is making observations each day of how much the egg shells have dissolved. Here's a picture so far.
