Our Rockbeare Vision

We believe that accurate spelling is an essential skill which allows the children to communicate their understanding in all curriculum subjects. In order for pupils to develop into effective and confident writers they need to develop and use a range of effective spelling strategies. By providing the children with a range of strategies we equip them with the independence to attempt spellings before asking for adult help. 

Spelling Shed

Spelling Shed is used as a tool to support the delivery of high quality teaching and learning.  Alongside the teaching of spelling in the classroom, children can access activities to support their learning at home. Below is an overview of the spelling patterns and knowledge that is taught across the curriculum.
