Welcome to Pine Class! 🌲

We are a Reception and Year 1 family where curiosity, creativity, and joy in learning grow as strong and tall as our class tree. Just like the branches of a pine tree stretching towards the sky, we believe in reaching high, dreaming big, and knowing that with God’s help, nothing is impossible. At Rockbeare, our pelican reminds us to soar with confidence, and in Pine Class we do just that – spreading our wings as Creative Thinkers, Active Learners, Respectful Citizens, and Explorers of the wonderful world around us.

In our classroom, we love to learn through play, exploration, and discovery. Whether we are creating stories, solving puzzles, painting pictures, or venturing outdoors, every day is an adventure. We celebrate curiosity and imagination, and we encourage one another to take risks, share ideas, and show kindness.

I am Mrs Lewis, your class teacher, and I am supported by a fantastic team: Mrs Cara (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday), Mrs Melanie and Mrs Follet (Thursday), and our wonderful Cover Supervisor, Miss Balcer (Thursday too). Together, we make sure Pine Class is a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place to learn, where every child is valued and encouraged to shine.

We cannot wait to see where our learning journey takes us this year. Just like the strong pine tree and the soaring pelican, we will stand tall, fly high, and discover that together, we can achieve amazing things!
