Pupil Premium is extra government funding for state-funded schools in England to improve the educational outcomes of pupils who may face disadvantage. It helps schools narrow the attainment gap and support all pupils to achieve their potential. GOV.UK
Funding is allocated for pupils who:
are recorded as eligible for Free School Meals now or have been at any time in the last six years (“Ever 6 FSM”),
have been looked after continuously for more than six months or were previously in care,
have a parent in the regular armed forces (service pupil premium). GOV.UK+1
We publish a Pupil Premium Strategy each year setting out how we plan to use this funding, the actions we are taking in school, and the impact on pupil outcomes. This is reviewed annually in line with DfE expectations and accountability requirements. GOV.UK
The documents below explain our current strategy, how the funding has been spent, and the difference it is making for our pupils.
