About Sports Funding
At Rockbeare Primary School, we value the contribution of PE to children’s health, wellbeing, and overall achievement. A broad, engaging PE curriculum—supported by a range of extracurricular opportunities—helps our pupils develop positive attitudes, focus, and confidence.
The Government’s PE and Sport Premium provides funding for primary schools to enhance their PE provision and increase pupils’ participation in physical activity. Schools can choose how best to use this funding to improve outcomes.
We use our Sports Premium to strengthen and extend our PE offer by working with specialist sports coaches, developing staff expertise, and updating or replacing equipment. Our aim is to raise activity levels and ensure all children benefit from high-quality physical education.
